About the Program
Genesis Dynamics is inviting below-knee prosthesis users to apply for a paid Genesis Ankle research program in River North, Chicago. The first step is a short screening call so our team can confirm fit, answer questions, and explain what participation involves before any in-person visit is scheduled.
Who This Is For

Adults 18+ with a below-knee amputation

Current below-knee prosthesis users who can walk with their usual prosthesis

People comfortable attending an in-person research visit in River North, Chicago

What to Expect
- -
Start with a brief screening call with the Genesis research team
- -
If eligible, attend a guided in-person session using the Genesis Ankle
- -
Complete everyday mobility tasks such as standing, level walking, and controlled turns
- -
Share feedback about fit, comfort, movement, and the overall experience
No running, jumping, or strenuous activity is required.
Hardware Adjustment & Consent
The Genesis Ankle may need to be temporarily attached to or adjusted with your existing prosthetic setup by trained research staff. You will review the process, risks, and consent materials before participating, and you can stop at any time.

Able to walk independently or with your usual assistive device

Able to provide informed consent for research participation
Privacy & Data Use

Movement, fit, and feedback data are anonymized where appropriate and used for research and development.

Information collected is not used for diagnosis, treatment, or medical evaluation.

Participation is voluntary, and you can end your participation at any time.
Compensation
Eligible participants who complete the in-person session receive $100 compensation. Payment is provided after the visit, typically through Venmo or PayPal.
Location
Screening calls are remote. In-person research visits take place in River North, Chicago. Exact address, arrival instructions, and timing are shared after eligibility is confirmed.
